Pinima Peacock Bass are active predators and require large aquariums with excellent filtration, high oxygen levels, and plenty of open swimming space. Although these are juveniles, they grow considerably and should only be purchased by aquarists prepared to accommodate their adult size.
Tank mates should be large enough not to be considered prey. Avoid keeping them with small fish that can fit into their mouths.
Feed a varied carnivorous diet including high-quality predator pellets, shrimp, krill, earthworms, and other meaty frozen foods to promote strong growth and excellent coloration.
