These tiny Corydoras are excellent schooling fish for peaceful community and planted aquariums. Unlike many larger Cory species that spend most of their time exclusively on the bottom, Pygmy Corydoras may also actively explore the lower and middle areas of the aquarium. Keeping them in groups helps encourage natural schooling behavior and makes them feel more secure.

Provide a mature, well-filtered aquarium with clean, stable water and gentle water movement. Fine sand or another smooth substrate is recommended to protect their sensitive barbels. Plants, driftwood, leaf litter, and small hiding areas create an excellent environment while still leaving open areas for schooling.

Albino Pygmy Corydoras are omnivorous and should receive appropriately sized sinking micro pellets, crushed flakes, baby brine shrimp, daphnia, bloodworms, and other small foods. They should not be expected to survive solely on leftover food from other fish.
