6-Pack Odessa Barb Live Freshwater Tropical Aquarium Fish Puntius Padamya

The Odessa Barb (Pethia padamya) is a beautiful, active freshwater fish known for its vibrant coloration, energetic swimming behavior, and peaceful schooling nature. Males develop a striking red stripe along their bodies, complemented by shimmering silver, gold, and dark markings, while females typically display softer coloration.

Odessa Barbs are excellent additions to planted freshwater aquariums and look especially impressive when kept in groups. Their active swimming and attractive colors create a lively, eye-catching display.

These fish thrive in well-maintained aquariums with good filtration, moderate water movement, and plenty of swimming space. Live plants, driftwood, and natural decorations provide an attractive environment while offering areas for shelter.

As omnivores, Odessa Barbs readily accept high-quality tropical flakes, small pellets, frozen foods, and occasional vegetable-based foods. A varied diet helps support healthy growth and vibrant coloration.

Odessa Barbs are generally peaceful schooling fish and are best maintained in groups of six or more. They can coexist with other active, similarly sized community fish. Avoid keeping them with very timid species or slow-moving fish with long, delicate fins.

Each fish is carefully selected and professionally packed with oxygen and insulation for safe transportation. Photos are representative; coloration, patterns, and sex may vary naturally. Males may develop more intense red coloration as they mature.

You will receive 6 healthy Odessa Barbs (Pethia padamya).
