Freshwater Frogfish XL 6–7" Rare Live Predatory Freshwater Aquarium Fish

The Freshwater Frogfish / Freshwater Toadfish is an unusual and impressive predatory aquarium fish recognized for its broad flattened head, enormous mouth, cryptic coloration, and fascinating ambush-hunting behavior. This listing is for 1 XL specimen approximately 6–7 inches in size.

This species spends much of its time resting motionless along the bottom, using its natural camouflage while waiting for prey. Its unusual appearance and behavior make it an excellent choice for experienced aquarists looking for something truly different.

Provide a spacious, well-filtered aquarium with caves, driftwood, smooth rocks, shaded areas, and plenty of bottom space. Because of its extremely large mouth relative to its body, tankmates must be selected carefully. Any fish small enough to fit into its mouth may be eaten, including fish that may initially appear relatively large.

Freshwater Frogfish are carnivorous and should be offered appropriately sized meaty foods such as shrimp, pieces of fish, worms, and other quality carnivore foods. Newly acquired specimens may require an adjustment period before readily accepting prepared or non-live foods.

This is a specialized predatory fish, so researching its long-term water, feeding, and housing requirements before purchase is strongly recommended.

Professionally packed with oxygen and insulation for transportation. Photos are representative; coloration, camouflage pattern, markings, and individual appearance may naturally vary.

You will receive 1 healthy XL Freshwater Frogfish approximately 6–7 inches in size.
