Indian Sole measuring approximately 2.5–3 inches. This unusual bottom-dwelling fish is an excellent choice for aquarists looking for something truly different. Its flat body shape, camouflage coloration, and unique swimming behavior make it a fascinating addition to a specialty freshwater aquarium.

Indian Soles spend much of their time along the substrate and may partially bury themselves, making a soft sand substrate highly recommended. Provide plenty of open bottom space, stable water conditions, good filtration, and appropriate hiding areas.

These fish generally prefer meaty foods. Offer appropriately sized frozen or live foods such as bloodworms, brine shrimp, small shrimp, and other protein-rich options. Because they can be shy feeders, make sure they are receiving enough food when housed with faster tank mates.
