Its pale cream-to-white coloration, distinctive prehistoric body shape, and unique dorsal finlets make it an impressive addition to a freshwater predator aquarium. The fish offered in this listing is approximately 2–2.5 inches.

This is a juvenile fish that will grow considerably larger with proper care. Senegal Bichirs can reach approximately 10–12 inches or more, so a spacious aquarium with good filtration and adequate bottom space is recommended for long-term care.

Bichirs are primarily bottom-dwelling and appreciate caves, driftwood, smooth rocks, and other secure hiding areas. A tight-fitting aquarium lid is essential, as bichirs are excellent escape artists and can climb through surprisingly small openings.
